Kalam by Sheetal K. Majithia

Join us on this creative odyssey
Kalam is Sheetal’s journey, which began with simple doodles—peacocks, lotuses, mangoes, and intricate designs—springing to life on scraps of paper during fleeting moments of free time. Whether it was the back of a grocery bill or the last page of a notebook, no surface was off-limits. Reflecting on how often her doodling distracted her during college lectures, she now chuckles at the irony. What once seemed like a “bad habit” turned out to be the foundation of her creative journey and personal expression.

At Kalam, we believe that creativity lies within everyone, waiting to be unlocked. For Sheetal, a pen in hand sparks imagination, encourages problem-solving, and fuels original thinking. Through this process, she discovered a deeper understanding of herself.

Encouragement from her family played a pivotal role in transforming this passion into meaningful work. Her father-in-law, Nanubhai Majithia, was the first to recognize her talent, urging her to create a series of twelve Lord Ganeshji illustrations for his company’s annual calendar. This project became the catalyst for something much bigger—a unique desk calendar that ignited a chain of creative ideas.

Beyond creating art, Kalam is committed to making a difference by giving back to society. It supports various causes, including girl child education, women’s empowerment, animal protection, and providing nutrition to the underprivileged.

Kalam is a celebration of art, family, and the power of community in creating meaningful change.
